Real photo

Real photo

Changing a photo into an image

Using one of the programs from web2.0 I managed to change one photo (see below) into this edged-like image. Beautiful!

Here's a photo

In Flight..... at Wilson's Prom.
I have checked a few blogs in Web2.0 and realised that I should include a photo as well...

Google Maps and Streetview

It is a small world after all!. Via Google Maps one can find almost any destination in this world. We can zoom into for more detail, done to the street and house number.

Street View is scary! you can zoom into the details of how a house looks like from the outside. Better keep the garden tidy, and mow the lawns; someone across the world is looking at you.

Podcasts

I looked into the ABC Radio National Podcast site. I listened to a couple of the 2007 Boyer lectures.

There are various URL Podcast suggested, and these will be useful for further learning and use in future.

YouTube

Most Interesting. I chose a video on how to play some piano music entiled:
"How to play Boston by Augustana". Isn't it wonderful to be able to learn a piece of music on the internet?

The streaming of the video was stop/start at first. Maybe it is the speed of my low speed ADSL connection download. The second time around it ran smoothly from start to finish of this 4 minute piano lesson.

I can see a list of people who are reading / have read the books I am interested in.

LibraryThing

I tried this out, registered, and added 7 books in my list. This is an interesting concept, and one can look into the world of many interesting books and why people read them.

This is the creation of a blog after learning the first lesson.
